We’re here & live. Real green products should be easier to find!

Hey! Thanks for taking a second and checking out Ambitious Green! This is the first official post, so hold on tight and cut us some slack — this community is a work in progress!

And I say “community” because that’s what we’re building here:  a community of people who know they want to change the way we build and buy products; who have style, education and the ambition to make this happen.

I founded Ambitious Green with Scott because we found it too difficult to educate ourselves about products manufactured with sustainable and organic materials.  I was reading about BPA and the dangers of plastic bottles in the news and I started thinking, ” where do I start? How do I prevent all this bad stuff from happening to me, and stop all the waste I’ve been creating with every disposable plastic bottle?”

Even worse, we were uncomfortable buying from a lot of sellers who offered those products because the experience was uninspired and boring.  

At Ambitious Green, we focus on educating you about the issues surrounding the products, tell you why it’s green and why we chose it in the end.

We only want to carry true “green” and sustainably-manufactured products.  And we want to present you the most well-designed, beautiful, exciting products and experience that we can.

To start, we’ve identified toys, bottles, and bags as great first steps. This is phase one. It means building a great place to come and get educated and shop for these products — something which we think we’ve done (but we’re constantly improving!)

The second phase is a place for everyone to come and talk about the issues of the day; to find the best “eco minds” out there, the best information resources, and for you to identify the best green products from your experiences.  Our hope is that this turns into a community where people help others pick the best “green” products for their needs and lifestyles.

We’re going to make this happen together…we want to be part of the grassroots movement that helps reorient our world towards the green revolution that we all know we’ve needed for quite some time.
